Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is most famous for her part as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. After the end of the seventh season the show was canceled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her regular role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and said that she participates in Passover seders.
